About the program

The TRAIN Program has been successfully implemented at the University of Sarajevo since September 2013. The King Baudouin Foundation provided financial support for implementing the Program, while the University of Sarajevo took over its financing in the last five years. The curricula of the individual modules of the Program were initially developed in cooperation with EU partners and subsequently improved by the BiH context of higher education concerning the specificities of the areas being treated.

Through the offer of nine modules, the participants of this Program supplement their knowledge and skills in three areas critical for lifelong learning and training of academic staff:

  1. Teaching competencies so that every organization within the university becomes a learning organization,
  2. Methodological competencies in the context of new requirements for research design skills in the common area of European higher education and
  3. Entrepreneurial competencies that turn every higher education organization into a business entity ready for self-sustainability.

Participation

Academic staff of the University of Sarajevo in associate/teaching positions have the right to participate. After completing the Program, the University of Sarajevo issues a certificate to the participants, proving the candidate's minimum pedagogical education.
