UNSA Faculty of Pharmacy: Lectures by academic staff from the Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava
At the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Sarajevo, from 12 to 22 July 2021, the first part of the Erasmus+ Key Action 1 project - Mobility for learners and staff - between the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Sarajevo and the Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology University of Bratislava, by visiting a partner from Bratislava took place.
Prof. Dr. Ivan Španik, Slovak project coordinator, accompanied by Dr. Andrea Machynakova et and Dr. Andriano Araujo Gomez were received by Prof. Dr. Hurija Džudžević-Čančar, Bosnian project coordinator with project associates Prof. Dr. Ervin Bečić, Prof Dr. Belma Imamović, Prof. Dr. Alema Dedić and Mr. Sc. Amra Alispahić, and Vice Dean for International Cooperation at the Faculty of Pharmacy UNSA Prof. Dr. Tamer Bego.
As part of the project implementation activities, the partners from Bratislava held two lectures for academic staff and master's and doctoral students:
14/ 07/ 2021: Alternative methods in analytical chemistry based on pattern recognition for food authentication and drug analysis (Andriano Araujo Gomes)
15/07/2021: Synthesis, characterization and application of Molecularly imprinted polymers for extraction of coumarines from herbs and wines (Andrea Machynakova)
The second week of the stay of the partner academic staff was used for a meeting with the management of the Faculty of Pharmacy, headed by the Dean Prof. Dr. Fahir Bečić. On that occasion the Faculty of Pharmacy was presented and the possibilities of expanding cooperation between these two institutions were discussed.
The partners visited the laboratories at the Faculty of Pharmacy, where the subject teachers introduced the guests to the projects they realized, presented the equipment and offered models for cooperation. The participants further elaborated the steps of project implementation for this and next year and agreed that the same group will apply for at least one more Erasmus + Key Action 1 project - program and that the coordinators will be younger members of groups from both partner faculties. A doctoral student has also been appointed for a three-month study stay at the University of Bratislava. Topics that project participants from the Faculty of Pharmacy will present to postgraduate students at the University of Bratislava were also selected.
