In the ICTY Sarajevo Information Center a lecture was held for 120 students of the UNSA Faculty of Law third year students.
Two academic classes were organized for students by the head of ICTY Information Center, Mila Eminović-Rizvanović, and the representative of the Secretariat of the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Courts in BiH, Almir Alić.
During the lecture, students were introduced to the basics of international criminal law, international humanitarian law, as well as the mandate, jurisdiction and significance of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, as well as the mandate of the recently opened ICTY Information Center Sarajevo.
As part of the three-day visit and lectures, the students also presented the permanent exhibition "The siege of Sarajevo through ICTY judgments", and students also visited the authentic courtroom of the Hague Tribunal.
Organizing lectures for students is one of the activities that the City of Sarajevo and the UNSA Faculty of Law have agreed when signing the Memorandum on Cooperation in June this year.
