Participants in the Second Summer School of the Master’s Program in “Inter-religious Studies and Peacebuilding” Visit the UNSA Faculty of Islamic Sciences

As part of the Second Summer School of the master’s program in “Inter-religious Studies and Peacebuilding,” participants visited the University of Sarajevo – Faculty of Islamic Sciences on Friday, 11 September 2026. The group was accompanied by Marijana Rosan, Master of Theology, Coordinator of the Office for Inter-religious Studies.
The visit began with a lecture by Prof. Dr. Kenan Musić, Hafiz, on “Peacebuilding in the Qur’an and Sunnah.” The lecture offered participants an opportunity to learn about Islamic perspectives on peace and peacebuilding and the place these values hold in the foundational sources of Islam. Following the lecture, Umihana Šošić, MA, a teaching assistant in the Department of Islamic Philosophy, introduced participants to the Faculty’s history and development, its teaching and research activities, and its role and significance in Islamic higher education in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region.
The visit to the Faculty formed part of the broader Summer School program, which enables participants to gain firsthand knowledge of different religious traditions and the experience of inter-religious encounters in Bosnia and Herzegovina through lectures, discussions, meetings, and visits to religious and cultural heritage institutions.
