Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences at the TIIMISS Conference

The Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences, University of Sarajevo is becoming more and more part of the global advanced educational trends, so PPF representatives took part in the prestigious TIIMISS Conference on the topic “Digitization of the Bosnian Society” held in Sarajevo from 18 to 20 March 2019.

Representatives of the Association of Students of PPF participated in the conference, along with numerous statesmen, ambassadors, representatives of the governmental and non-governmental sector, representatives of the international and domestic academic and scientific community, and students.

With the endeavor of progressive and quality digitization and informatization of higher education and research work, including the agro-industry, as well as the production of safe, functional and smart food, the panel “Use of information and communication technologies and nanotechnology in food and veterinary production” was organized in which  along with foreign experts spoke Prof Dr. Sc. Enisa Omanović - Mikličanin, Vice Dean for International Cooperation and Scientific Research Work. Prof. dr. Omanović-Mikličanin emphasized the importance, development and efficiency of nanotechnology, as the inevitability of any serious higher education system that wants to compete, especially in the western market, but also to produce competitive personnel, first of all, in natural sciences, including agro-food science, but also stable and sustainable agriculture, on the ground, including the so-called farms of the future.

The main organizer of the TIIMISS Conference is the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
