Police Commissioner of the Police Directorate, Ministry of the Interior of KS visited Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Studies

Police Directorate of the Ministry of the Interior of the Sarajevo Canton Police Commissioner, Police Inspector General Nusret Selimović, with his associates the Chief of the Police Commissioner's Office, Independent Inspector Samir Kekić and the Head of the Public Relations Department, Senior Inspector Mirza Hadžiabdić, visited the UNSA Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Studies on 24 February 2021. In addition to the Faculty Dean, Prof. Dr. Jasmin Ahić, the meeting was attended by the Vice Dean for Teaching, Prof. Dr. Admir Hadžikadunić and the head of the Teaching Service Ermina Bakić.
On that occasion, a working-consultative meeting was held following the very successful cooperation between the Police Directorate of the Sarajevo Canton MUP and the Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Studies of the University of Sarajevo, and the planned further improvement. At the meeting, the previous activities in the segment of education of police officers were analyzed, with special emphasis on the exceptional results and success of the specialist training "Treatment of crime scenes" which the Faculty targeted for police officers of the KS MUP, as well as the participation of police officers in the lifelong learning program “Winter School - Financial Investigations of Corrupt Crimes.” Particular interest was expressed in the new training program “Techniques and tactics of interrogation of suspects and examination of witnesses” which the Faculty will implement in the coming period.
Police Commissioner Nusret Selimović pointed out that the Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Studies is a respectable institution, and expressed satisfaction with the intensive cooperation with the Faculty, not only in the field of police training, but also in other activities that contribute to improving the overall security situation in the Canton. Sarajevo.
Dean Ahić and his associates informed the Police Commissioner about the current Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Studies activities with special reference to the implementation and implementation of teaching and research activities in the circumstances of the Covid 19 pandemic, especially bearing in mind that training of police officers was successfully held online mode. Dean Ahić underlined that continuous cooperation with the Police Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton is a strategic interest of the Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Studies, and expressed confidence that it will be even more intense in the future, especially having in mind the interest of students for the security sector is formed by the Faculty.
