The University of Sarajevo hosted the Second Multiplier Event of the ERASMUS+ project HomoDigitalis
The University of Sarajevo hosted the Second Multiplier Event of the ERASMUS+ project HomoDigitalis. During the two days, participants followed presentations on individual activities of this project, as well as presentations of the MAGNET – BALKANETUP network, DERHE Digital Education Readiness in the Field of Higher Education, Digi.Edu and TRAIN (Training & Research for Academic Newcomers) projects.
On behalf of the University of Sarajevo, the participants were welcomed by Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Dženana Husremović. The MAGNET project was presented by the coordinator, Prof. Dr. Katerina Kedraka from Democritus University of Trace, and the MAGNET platform for Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) was presented by Christos Kaltsidis. The DERHE project was presented by Dr. Almira Konjić from the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Science, University of Sarajevo, and the DIGIedu and TRAIN projects by Amra Kapo and Jasmina Gradaščević-Pleh from the University of Sarajevo.
Partners from LOGOS and POLIS Universities in Albania, IBCM from Kosovo and SSST from Bosnia and Herzegovina presented courses that were supplemented with digital competencies and MOOCs that they developed. Prof. Dr. Selma Rizvić, coordinator of the Homo Digitalis project for the University of Sarajevo and Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Dušanka Bošković spoke about the MOOC courses they created and which are already available on the online platform MAGNET.
The meeting participants also visited the newly established Digital Humanities Laboratory, whose equipment was purchased as part of the Homo Digitalis project. The laboratory is located at the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies of the University of Sarajevo and will be available to researchers from the humanities, with the help of colleagues from technical sciences, to apply digital technologies in their projects.
