The Third Sarajevo Innovation Summit organized by the Faculty of Economics, University of Sarajevo Started

The third Sarajevo Innovation Summit, organized by the Faculty of Economics, University of Sarajevo, began today in an online edition with welcoming speeches by the Faculty of Economics Dean, Prof. Dr. Jasmina Selimović and the creator of the Summit Prof. Dr. Amila Pilav-Velić.

Prof. Dr. Selimović emphasized the importance of higher education institutions in the context of innovation, the first keynote speaker Prof. Dr. Zlatko Lagumdžija addressed the main question and offered answers: “Why innovation, digital transformation and leadership? Because of the growth of the economy and technological power (to build/destroy), the speed of change, the search for common societies, prosperity, the environment, knowledge, the future and values! “

“Sarajevo Innovation Summit is a very important initiative for the development and disorder of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is necessary to turn the crisis into an opportunity to improve and reconstruct the economic system and society,”said Aida Hadžialić, the youngest minister in the history of the Government of the Kingdom of Sweden.

Third keynote speaker Saša Bešlić, Director of the Department for Financial Sustainable Development at J. Safra Sarasin Bank said “1/3 of the total population on the planet will live in two countries of the world. This is a significant indicator of where digital, financial and other innovations will take place in the future. At the same time, the challenges in the context of climate change, urbanization and overall sustainability will grow.”

The Summit program consists of two panel discussions:

  1. „New normal - Is your technology ready for the new digital reality?
  2. "Digital art cultural experiences in the post Covid era

The basic idea of the Summit is to bring together leading experts from the business and public sector, and the academic community in the field of innovation, enabling the presentation of good practices and exchange of knowledge and experiences with the aim of stimulating innovation and creating an adequate environment.
