Representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina achieved notable results at the 70th Trophée Mondial de l'accordéon

In October 2020, the UNSA Music Academy, as the official delegate of BiH to the CMA (Confedération mondiale de l'accordéon), organized the BiH national election for representative at the 70th the most prestigious accordion competition - Trophée Mondial (World Trophy). The young accordionists of Bosnia and Herzegovina who passed the selection achieved excellent results.

The 70th edition of the Trophy, which was held online this year due to the epidemiological situation, was attended by over 1,500 competitors from 80 countries, while the expert jury consisted of 70 delegates from renowned world pedagogues and performers.

Competing in the Chamber Music Senior category with 13 bands from Russia, Belarus, China, Belgium, Poland and Croatia, the Inat Trio MAS with Azmir Halilović, Danijel Lovrić and Asmir Hamzić took a high 4th place.

In the Junior Variety category, young Vedad Husomanović from the Sarajevo High School of Music in the class of Prof. Alen Hodžić achieved 6th place.

In the Masters without age limit category in the competition of over 50 competitors, the expert associate of the academy Azmir Halilović achieved the tenth place.

In the category of International Open trophy, 12 & under, young Faris Halilović from the Elementary Music School Tuzla in the class of Prof. Selme Jahić achieved a high 15th place among as many as 55 competitors.

Professor Šarančić from the Academy of Music was the delegate of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the competition, judging the categories Senior Classique, Senior Chamber music, Junior Chamber music, World music.

Results of young Bosnian accordionists are worthy of all attention and in front of the UNSA Music Academy we send them sincere congratulations and support for further work, participation and representation of BiH in such prestigious competitions.
