IIUM Alumni Division Representatives Visit the Faculty of Islamic Sciences at the University of Sarajevo

As part of their visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina and their participation in the conference and B2B meetings between Bosnian-Herzegovinian and Malaysian companies, organized by the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina, representatives of the IIUM Alumni Division (International Islamic University Malaysia), together with other participants from Malaysia, visited the University of Sarajevo – Faculty of Islamic Sciences.

The delegation was received on behalf of the Faculty by Prof. Dr. Aid Smajić, Vice-Dean for International Cooperation, who welcomed the guests and presented the Faculty's work and activities. During the meeting, discussions focused on existing ties with the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and opportunities for their further enhancement through academic and institutional cooperation.

Special attention was devoted to the importance of connecting IIUM alumni in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as to possibilities for intensifying contacts, exchanging experiences, and launching joint activities in the future.

During their stay in Sarajevo, representatives of the IIUM Alumni Division also organized a meeting with IIUM alumni from Bosnia and Herzegovina, held on 15 September 2026 in Sarajevo. The meeting provided an opportunity for alumni to reconnect, get acquainted with one another, and discuss future forms of cooperation and strengthening ties between IIUM and its alumni in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
