The first lecture was held within the Diploma in Islamic Sciences 2021 program
On the e-platform of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences, University of Sarajevo on 26 January 2021, Prof. Dr. Džemaludin Latić gave the first online lecture as part of the Diploma in Islamic Sciences 2021 program.
The peculiarity of this year's Program is in the way of its realization. Unlike previous sixteen cycles, when participants - citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina or residents of Bosnia and Herzegovina attended lectures at the Faculty of Islamic Sciences, this year’s program is implemented online.
This year, the participants, more precisely 48 of them who recognized a special station on their lifelong learning path in this program, are following lectures from three continents, from 14 countries of the world, and our Bosnia and Herzegovina.
With interactive lectures given by eminent professors and associates of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences every Tuesday and Thursday, the program will last until 22 June 2021. The participants will through eight modules, have the opportunity to expand their knowledge of Islam on basic concepts, values and beliefs that have shaped Muslim thinking, spirituality and art, and social and legal institutions, especially in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
An additional joy and benefit of this year's Diploma in Islamic Sciences is the fact that it has become a fascinating bridge among people living around the world with their homeland Bosnia and Herzegovina, our Islamic community and the Faculty of Islamic Sciences as the oldest higher education institution with an Islamic background in Europe.
