The exhibition "the atomos project ___monumental lightness" by Prof. Stefan A. Schumer opened in the UNSA Academy of Fine Arts Gallery
The exhibition "the atomos project ___monumental lightness" authored by prof. Stefan A. Schumer was opened on 5 September 2022 in the Gallery of the Academy of Fine Arts, University of Sarajevo.
The exhibition was opened by Academy of Fine Arts Dean, Prof. Dr. Dubravka Pozderac-Lejlić, Rector Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj, and the former high representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina Mr. Valentin Inzko.
Dean Pozderac-Lejlić welcomed the attendees and pointed out how pleased she and all the students are that an exhibition like this one has been set up at the UNSA Fine Arts Academy. She also expressed her satisfaction with the cooperation with Professor Schumer.
Rector Škrijelj pointed out that he is proud of the fact that the University of Sarajevo and the Academy of Fine Arts have been enriched by an artistic project of this quality.
Mr. Valentin Inzko mentioned that architects in Sarajevo have the opportunity to develop in every way, and that different, inspiring styles can be seen throughout the city, which is the result of many years of development. "Schumer's unstoppable spirit is what brought him right here to work with students, and to help develop what he found here, and there is a lot of it. His main motive is that vision follows reality," said Mr. Inzko about Professor Schumer.
The author himself, Professor Schumer, spoke at the opening. He said that everyone here is like family to him, and that he got that feeling through this collaboration.
Stefan A. Schumer, with his floating archaic elements, sinkholes, broken stone, landscapes, aerial images and urban regions, is not a destroyer of worlds: he fiercely opposes the importance of irrelevant ruling interests and is aware that there is no point of return.
The exhibition can be viewed until 12 September 2022, every working day from 10:00 to 18:00.
