The 1st International Virtual Conference on Equality, Religious Harmony & Peace 2020

UNSA Faculty of Islamic Sciences professors participated in the first international virtual conference on equality, religious harmony and peace, 2020.

The 1st International Virtual Conference on Equality, Religious Harmony & Peace 2020 was held from 18 to 19 November 2020. The conference theme was Unity with Diversity: Moving towards Civilizational Development. The conference was hosted by the International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM). The conference was organized in cooperation with several partner universities and institutions in Malaysia, the United States and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The conference was attended by a large number of scientists from many countries. The Faculty of Islamic Sciences, University of Sarajevo was represented by Department of Religious Pedagogy and Religious Psychology professors - Prof. Dr. Dina Sijamhodžić-Nadarević, who spoke on the topic: Religious Education as a Source of Interreligious and Intercultural Values: The Case of Bosnia and Herzegovina; and Prof. Dr. hfz. Aid Smajić, who spoke on the topic: Place for Implicit Religiosity in Ethno-Religious Coexistence and Tolerance: A Case of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
