Mobility
Since signing the first international bilateral agreement in 1965, the University of Sarajevo (UNSA) has become an open university for many international students and staff members. They would come for semestrial mobility (classes and exams) or short-period international events (winter and summer schools, international seminars and conferences, etc.). With the introduction of EU-funded programs for mobility, the UNSA took a chance and entered the Erasmus world in 2007 by participating in all 19 projects of Erasmus Mundus for the Western Balkans, followed by Erasmus+ in 2014.
Based on the rich experience, visits to partner institutions and fruitful participation in many international projects, the International Relations Office has developed an infrastructure for global mobility, following the good examples of many higher education institutions across Europe. Whether you are a student, researcher, teaching or non-teaching staff, the UNSA (and the city of Sarajevo) is your best mobility destination.
International students can come to the University of Sarajevo through different program schemes (Erasmus+, CEEPUS, International Visegrad Fund, DAAD, Fulbright, etc.) or as a freemover. Considering the massive interest in the incoming international mobility to the UNSA, our Office maintains a specialised website for incoming students and staff members. All about coming to UNSA, applying, classes, events, and other academic and practical information are available at: https://international.unsa.ba/eng/.
