The Meeting of University of Sarajevo Rector and International University of Sarajevo Rector

Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yıldırım, International University of Sarajevo Rector, and Mr. Jahja Imamovic, Deputy Secretary General, visited the University of Sarajevo on 14 June 2019, where they met with the UNSA Rector Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj, Vice-Rectors Prof. D. Aleksandra Nikolić and Prof. Dr. Tarik Zaimović, and Prof. Dr. Adnan Pašić, Faculty of Architecture.
The meeting was an opportunity to discuss the Agreement defined 10 year-long cooperation with the aim of promoting academic, educational and cultural cooperation between the two institutions.
“Our goal is to improve cooperation with a respectable university such as the University of Sarajevo,” said Rector Yıldırım.
During the meeting, concrete steps were taken to improve co-operation that would include the organization of joint study programs in English.
“One of the strategic goals of the University of Sarajevo is internationalization and an increase in the number of foreign students,” said Rector Škrijelj.
Rectors  Yıldırım and Škrijelj also referred to the project of promoting Sarajevo as a regional and European university center, realized by the joint appearance of the City of Sarajevo and several universities operating in the Bosnian capital at the domestic and international levels in the fields of education, culture and art.
It was emphasized that by joint action and realization of the planned activities it is possible to achieve excellent results, and the meeting was concluded with a strong willingness to intensify cooperation that will be mutually beneficial.
