The Play “Dear Dad” by Milena Bogavac Presented During the Ceremonial December Days of the University of Sarajevo

The play “Dear Dad,” by Milena Bogavac and performed by fourth-year students of Acting at the Academy of Performing Arts, University of Sarajevo, under the tutelage of Professor Admir Glamočak and Assistant Professor Adnan Gora, was staged as part of the UNSA Ceremonial December Days. This production, integral to the ceremonial program of the artistic academies, was held on Wednesday, 18 December 2024, at the Sarajevo War Theatre (SARTR).

This award-winning play, which has successfully represented the Academy of Performing Arts and the University of Sarajevo at numerous regional student festivals, narrates the story of young people in the post-war period of the former Yugoslavia. Through a poignant and authentic narrative, the play addresses the ramifications of war and explores universal themes of seeking stability, family, and love.

The cast includes: Lejla Hakalović, Issa Osmić, Nedim Šuvalija, Pia Vrdoljak, Lamija Salihović, Ibrahim Tatar, and Anastasija Dunjić.
