SWARM

As part of the implementation of the Erasmus+ project CBHE KA2 “Strengthening of master curriculum in water resources management for the Western Balkans HEIs and stakeholders” (SWARM), the fourth bulletin (e-newsletter) on the implemented activities has been prepared downloadable from HERE.

The project “Strengthening of master curricula in water resources management for the Western Balkans HEIs and stakeholders” (SWARM) duration is from 1 January 2019 to 31 December 2021.

The project coordinator is the University of Nis, and one of the 14 partners is the University of Sarajevo. On behalf of the University of Sarajevo, project activities are coordinated by the Faculty of Civil Engineering.

The goal of the SWARM project is to improve the quality of higher education in the field of water resources management (WRM), strengthen its importance for the labor market and society, improve the level of competencies and skills of WRM experts in partner countries of the Western Balkans (Serbia, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro) developing new competencies and improving existing curricula in line with EU trends. This broader objective is fully in line with the priorities of Erasmus + capacity building projects.

The project specific objectives are:

  • Improving the level of competencies and skills in higher education institutions by developing new and innovative or improving existing master programs in the field of water resources management in accordance with the requirements of Bologna and national accreditation standards,
  • designing and implementing new laboratories in the Western Balkans and
  • developing and conducting LLL courses for professionals in the water sector in line with the EU Water Framework Directive.
