Fakultet zdravstvenih studija

Occasional speech by Prof. dr. Arzija Pašalić, Dean of the Faculty of Health Studies, University of Sarajevo, on the occasion of the 47th anniversary of the Faculty of Health Studies, University of Sarajevo:

Dear teachers, associates, employees, students, dear colleagues and friends of the Faculty of Health Studies in Sarajevo,

The nineteenth day of December is a special day for all of us. It is the day when we celebrate another anniversary of the existence of this higher education institution, which has been going through a thorny path towards achieving its goals since its founding until today. With numerous barriers in the way of success, the Faculty of Health Studies in Sarajevo is taking sure steps towards the top. With the effort, work and commitment of our employees, teachers, associates and friends, we have remained persistent in the desire for better and better education of our students.

Another year is behind us, we can say with certainty one of the most difficult so far. The year in which, due to the current epidemiological situation, we had to change the previous one and adapt to the new way of working and communicating. The year, which made us stronger, closer and in which we showed that with the joint efforts of academic staff and students we can overcome all unwanted situations and obstacles, all for the purpose of educating quality and professional profiles, for which there is a growing need in the labor market.

After 47 years since the founding of the Faculty, in the most ungrateful period in which we all find ourselves, the efforts of the Faculty management have resolved the issue of space for accommodation and work of staff and students of the Faculty of Health Studies. Guided by the idea of educating quality, capable, creative and internationally competent staff in health care through the most modern methods of teaching, learning and research, solving spatial capacities will significantly improve working conditions and knowledge acquisition among students of all three study cycles.

We hope to celebrate the next anniversary of the Faculty together in new premises, in safer and better conditions. We thank all the employees, students and friends of the Faculty of Health Studies, University of Sarajevo.
