The work describing a virtual jump from the Old Bridge in Mostar, presented on behalf of Sarajevo Graphics Group by Prof. Dr. Selma Rizvić was voted the best at the Visual Heritage - Graphics and Cultural Heritage VH-GCH 2018 conference held in Vienna from 12 to 15 November 2018.
This award is a great success for the Sarajevo Graphics Group operating at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, because Graphics and Cultural Heritage (GCH) is the most important European conference on the use of ICT technologies in the presentation of cultural heritage.
The title of the paper is VR Video Storytelling for Intangible Cultural Heritage Preservation, and co-authors are Elmedin Selmanović, Selma Rizvić, Carlo Harvey, Dušanka Bosković, Vedad Hulusić, Malek Chahin and Sanda Šljivo.
This paper describes the project of a virtual jump from the Old Bridge in Mostar that in recent weeks sparked the attention of the media and the public in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The methodology of interactive digital narration in 360 video is presented as a tool for presenting the intangible cultural heritage.
The work will be expanded and published in the respectable journal ACM Journal on Computing and Cultural Heritage (JOCCH).
