Development of scientific, educational and professional cooperation of the Faculty of Criminal Justice, Criminology and Security Studies
In November 2018, Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Studies, University of Sarajevo implemented successfully numerous activities, and had several important agreements on scientific, educational and professional cooperation concluded.
An agreement was signed with the Cantonal Civil Protection Administration of Sarajevo, which, as stated by KUCZ Sarajevo director, Mr. Samir Džihić and Faculty Dean, Prof. Dr. Nedžad Korajlić further strengthened cooperation in the field of protection and rescuing, and certainly enabled further improvement of relations and created an institutional framework for exchange of experience and knowledge.
The Faculty also signed an agreement with the Association of Criminal Profilers from Novi Sad. The Association President Mr. Nemanja Popović and Dean Korajlić both agreed that the establishment of this cooperation is of great importance for both institutions, especially considering the possibility of joint organization and realization of educational training in the field of criminal profiling at the Faculty
Of particular importance are the agreements with the Croatian Guarantee Guild - the Croatian Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber of Private Protection of the Republic of Macedonia. The Faculty of Criminology, Criminology and Security Studies of the University of Sarajevo strongly supports cooperation with the private security sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region, and it always emphasizes the importance of institutional cooperation with chambers and private security sector associations.
These agreements open the possibility of joint organization of scientific research activities, conferences, symposia, seminars, workshops, as well as investing joint efforts to secure financial resources from external sources. Also, the signed agreements include the development of joint research projects, and the training program for academic and professional staff, the promotion of individual contacts between academic and professional staff, and the exchange of academic and professional staff in regular and special educational processes.
