Bosniaca magazine included in the DOAJ database

Časopis „Bosniaca“ uvršten u bazu DOAJ

The National and University Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina is pleased to announce that the Bosnian library journal Bosniaca has been accepted for indexing into the DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals) database.
 
The database was launched in 2003 with 300 open access journals. Today, this independent database contains over 15,000 peer-reviewed OA journals covering all areas of science, technology, medicine, social sciences, arts, and humanities. Open access journals from all countries and in all languages are welcome to apply for inclusion.

DOAJ is financially supported by a number of libraries, publishers and other like-minded organizations. Support for DOAJ shows a strong commitment to open access and the infrastructure that supports it.

The mission of DOAJ is to increase visibility, availability, reputation, use and quality, review, open access to scientific journals globally, regardless of the discipline of the journal, geographical location of the country or language of the journal. DOAJ will work with editors, publishers and magazine owners to help them understand the value of best publishing practices and standards and apply them to their own business. DOAJ is committed to being 100% independent and to maintain its primary services and metadata as free for use or reuse by all.

Bosniaca is already indexed in Crossref, EBSCO Central & Eastern European Academic Source and The Belt and Road Initiative Reference Source (EBSCO), ROAD (Directory of Open Access scholarly Resources), Index Copernicus, Erih plus (the European Reference Index for the Humanities ), ICI Journals Master List, KoBSON (Consortium of Serbian Libraries for Unified Procurement) and available in CEEOL databases (Central and Eastern European Online Library), Hrčak - Portal of Croatian scientific and professional journals and Slavic Humanities Index.

In addition to the printed edition of Bosniace, an online version is also available, which belongs to open access magazines. The online version of the magazine is available at http://bosniaca.nub.ba/index.php/bosniaca.

This is a significant step in the further development of the journal and a great recognition to the editorial board in its work so far.
