UNSA Faculty of Health Studies - Hematology-Biochemistry Laboratory Equipped
On 3 December 2024, the equipment needed to equip the hematology-biochemistry laboratory in the new building of the University of Sarajevo - Faculty of Health Studies was handed over. The Turkish Agency for Cooperation and Coordination (TIKA) and the Faculty of Health Studies headed by Dean, Prof. Dr. Arzija Pašalić's handover, finalized the Agreement in which TIKA undertook to equip one of the laboratories.
The newly built facility of the Faculty of Health Studies has a total of 4108m2 and is functionally divided into two parts: the teaching and scientific-research part. The teaching part consists of classrooms, a large amphitheater, a congress amphitheater and other rooms intended for students (library, reading room, student relaxation area, student service, archive, etc.) The second part consists of physiotherapy, health care, midwifery, magnet room and CT, nutritional counseling and three laboratories: biochemical, microbiological and food and water control laboratory. All spaces are designed according to European standards. Medical, laboratory and computer equipment is continuously procured. The equipment is mostly purchased from own funds and project funds.
"Equipping the hematology-biochemistry laboratory is another way to help the opening of the new building of the Faculty of Health Studies", stated Dean, Prof. Dr. Arzija Pašalić, expressing gratitude to the Turkish Agency for Cooperation and Coordination, which, by equipping the laboratory, decided to support the capital project "Reconstruction, investment maintenance and equipping of the facilities of the Faculty of Health Studies of the University of Sarajevo", all with the aim of better realization of the practical aspect of the teaching process in the study programs of the University in Sarajevo - Faculty of Health Studies.
