On 11 November 2020, the first online General Assembly of the Europeana Network Association (ENA) took place. The Europeana Network Association (ENA) is a strong and democratic community of professionals working in the field of digital cultural heritage. They are united by a common mission of expanding and improving access to Europe's digital cultural heritage.
 
Following the greetings sent to the members of the Assembly by Marco de Niet, the meeting consisted of discussing and accepting the Minutes from the General Assembly 2019, Annual Report 2020, Action Plan for 2021, Financial Report for 2019, the Provisional Budget for 2021, and acceptance of documents and voting for new members of the Council. Among other things, the Assembly voted on the composition of the Management Board for 2021.
In the work of this important Assembly, Dr. Ismet Ovčina, Director of the National and University Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina actively participated.
In addition to the General Assembly, Europeana organized its annual conference (11/11/2020-13/11/2020), which this year was influenced by the new situation in the world, the Covid-19 pandemic “Crisis, Change and Culture - Where are we now?”
The conference offered many interesting topics and answers, and could be followed with the help of the ZOOM application.
The conference provided positive examples of model sharing practices and ways of presenting content in the digital age. The original idea of the Europeana conference, as a platform for exchanging ideas and ideas, provided productive advice, guidance and examples of the work of heritage institutions with the aim of adapting them to both epidemiological circumstances and the future of this digital age.
At this world-renowned and recognized conference, a number of topics were questioned - copyright issues in the digital environment, issues of using social networks to operate in the cultural sector, the boundaries and capabilities of heritage institutions that are now, in a pandemic and at a time where users they are increasingly turning to the digital environment, facing culture and heritage institutions, issues of cultural management, technical and technological capacities of heritage institutions, etc.
The main conclusion of the Conference is that culture proved to be a necessary force during the pandemic; people turned to digital technology and communication to exchange and promote culture and gather around it. It is in these elements that heritage institutions must find their models and actions and establish themselves in society and social circumstances.
