Dr. Tunç Aybak visited Institute of History On Tuesday and Thursday, 5-7 November 2019 where he met with Dr. Sedad Bešlija, Institute A.D. who introduced the guest with the Institute’s program and mutual cooperation possibilities. On Thursday, Dr. Aybak also gave a lecture on the topic “Syrian refugees in Turkey and geopolitics.”

Dr. Tunç Aybak is the Head of International Politics and Law at the Middlesex University Law School - London. He graduated from the School of Political Science in International Relations and Diplomacy at the University of Ankara. He holds a PhD from Hull University in International Law and Politics. He teaches BA International Politics and MA International Relations programs specializing in critical geopolitics and diplomacy studies, foreign policy analysis. His current research areas and fieldwork include Turkish and Russian relations, human rights issues in Europe, and the geopolitics of the Black Sea and the Middle East region. This visit was made possible thanks to the international activity of Dr. Hana Younis, Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of History.
