DARIAH – BiH: University of Sarajevo Organizes Event to Promote Digital Infrastructure in the Humanities and Arts

The University of Sarajevo organizes an event called "Promoting digital infrastructure in the field of humanities and arts", which is implemented within the project of the same name and with the support of the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Youth. The main goal of the project is to promote the importance of digital infrastructure in the field of humanities and arts in order to enable and strengthen cooperation between relevant institutions and researchers within a sustainable science system.

This event is dedicated to issues of importance for digitization in the field of humanities and arts, and the promotion of the collections of monumental heritage of the University of Sarajevo and other institutions that have research materials in the Sarajevo Canton that need to be made visible and accessible to the wider research community. Representatives of the DARIAH-EU research network will also attend the event.

Bosnia and Herzegovina officially became a member of the DARIAH-ERIC network in July 2021, while the University of Sarajevo took over the role of coordinating institution of the DARIAH-BiH consortium. The DARIAH-ERIC research network aims to enable long-term access and use of digital research data in the fields of arts and humanities. The event is intended for members of the DARIAH-BiH consortium, as well as interested researchers who find the topic of this event useful for their further research and networking with the rest of the research community both in BiH and at the EU and global levels.
