The Cooperation Agreement Signed between the Faculty of Philosophy and the Confucius Institute

On 23 December 2019, the Agreement on Cooperation between the Faculty of Philosophy and the Confucius Institute was signed. The subject of the agreement is assistance in the realization of the teaching process at the Faculty of Philosophy for new program contents, chiefly - the elective course Chinese language teaching. This agreement facilitated the smooth implementation of curricula and discussed new avenues of cooperation between the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Sarajevo and the partner Northwest Normal University (NWNU) from Lanzhou, PR China.

The meeting and signing of the Agreement were attended by Doz. Dr. Amir Duranović, Vice-Dean for Research, International Academic Cooperation and Publishing, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, University of Sarajevo, Prof. Dr. Aleksandra Nikolić, Doz. Dr. Selma Đuliman, Program Coordinator for Chinese Language at the Faculty of Philosophy, Prof. Dr. Tian Shu, Vice-Rector of Northwestern Normal University, Sun Mei, Deputy Director of the NWNU Office for International Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Quan Xiaohui, NWNU International Cooperation Advisor, Prof. Dr. La Weixin, Confucius Institute in Sarajevo Director with associates.

The Agreement signing is a continuation of the successful cooperation that Faculty of Philosophy has with the Confucius Institute, and the envisaged program activities for the next period will enable programs of exchange of teaching staff, student scholarships for stay in China, joint creation and realization of research projects in the fields studied both at Faculty of Philosophy and University of Sarajevo.
