Sarajevo will be the center of dentistry for six days, from February 16th to 22nd, 2020. 66th IADS MYM 2020 consists of Congress and Post-Congress. Our congress consists of four parts: scientific programme, student work exhibition, Dental Olympiad and cultural programme. Within the scientific programme, there will be 6 lectures and 12 workshops with some of the world’s most renowned dental names. The Student Works Exhibition will be held in one day, where the students will exhibit their best works in the field of dentistry. The Dental Olympics will bring together teams of three participants, from IADS member countries. On the third day of the congress, participants will compete in several dental disciplines, where they will have the opportunity to demonstrate their best abilities, as a combination of knowledge and experience, while their work will be evaluated by professors – lecturers. Everything will be organized by the organizing committee, members of the Association of Dental Students – DESCON. The members of the association are students of the Faculty of Dental Medicine, University of Sarajevo. As a part of the organization team, we have 25 students who are involved in finance and marketing, event planning, human resources, media and social networks, participant registration, congress program, and social and post-congress activities. The cultural programme will showcase the treasures and everything else the European Jerusalem has to offer. Bosnia represents the intersection of the East and the West, the point through which two empires wrote history, where three religions meet and all the different people breathe as one, as Sarajevo. The post-congress is an important part of this programme. We, the people of Sarajevo, Bosnians, organizers, want to correct the wrong picture of Bosnia as a war zone, a place where diversity cannot coexist into a picture of a country with untouched nature, warm-hearted proud of their country where everyone is welcome. We are inviting you to be a part of our project, setting a new standard for education and putting us, the youth, as well as the future of this town and country on the world stage.

Take a photograph of the spot where East and West meet , a special spot in Sarajevo where East and West collide .They don’t just represent two distinct halves of the world, but two different civilizations. For several hundred years, the borders of two great empires met in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This made the country and its capital a crossroads for different worlds – a place where Orient met Occident in the heart of the Balkans. As if the clashing Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian empires isn’t interesting enough,a date of 28 June 1914 and the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand that started First World War will catch your attention . Sarajevo is one of those rare cities where, during a ten-minute walk, you can see Orthodox and Catholic churches, synagogues and mosques. There are hookah bars and craft breweries, Turkish coffee and vanilla lattes, 500-year-old markets and modern shopping malls. Sarajevo has the best of both worlds . In February 1984 Sarajevo hosted Winter Olympic Games
