The Roundtable on Higher Education in Multiethnic Societies: The Barzini Project Experience was held on Friday, 8 November 2019 at the University of Sarajevo.

The roundtable was opened by Prof. Dr. Dženana Husremović, University of Sarajevo Vice-Rector for Research, pointing out that the Jamal Barzinji project is a collaboration between the US Universities, the University of Sarajevo and IIUM Malaysia called “Development of Higher Education in Multiethnic Societies”, which aims to intensify joint activities in development of civil discourse and intercultural competences of students and employees as well as of the local community.

Within the Round Table, Dr. Ermin Sinanović, director of the Center for Islam in the Contemporary World spoke on the topic of “Education in the United States and Multiculturalism”, while Ahmed Čolić and Mujesira Zimić – Gljiva, Faculty of Islamic Sciences and Prof. Dr. Haris Cerić, Faculty of Political Sciences presented the experiences of cooperation within the Barzanji project “Higher Education in Multiethnic Societies.”
