The University of Sarajevo hosted a delegation from the University of Gdańsk

The University of Sarajevo hosted a delegation from the University of Gdańsk, who are visiting Sarajevo from 13 to 17 April 2026 within the PROM mobility programme, funded by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA).

The delegation consisted of nine representatives of the administrative staff of the University of Gdańsk, including employees from the Centre for Student and Doctoral Activities and the Scholarship Office. The aim of the visit was to enhance cooperation through the exchange of experiences in student support services, administrative procedures, and to gain insight into the organisation and functioning of university services.

During a three-day intensive programme, the delegation had the opportunity to become familiar with the work of key services at the University of Sarajevo, including the International Relations Office, the Research Support Service, the Project Support Centre, and the Teaching Affairs Office. Meetings were also held with representatives of the Student Parliament, providing the guests with insight into student organisation and activities from the students’ perspective.

As part of the visit, a meeting was organised at the Faculty of Political Sciences, where the delegation members had the opportunity to exchange experiences with academic staff and discuss possibilities for future cooperation.

The visit was implemented in the form of job shadowing activities, focusing on gaining insight into everyday practices in student services, exchanging experiences in addressing administrative challenges, and strengthening institutional capacities through international cooperation.

The University of Sarajevo expresses its satisfaction with the successful implementation of this visit, which represents an important step towards strengthening international partnerships and developing new initiatives in the field of student support and administrative excellence.
