Saudi Ambassador and University of Sarajevo Rector Visited the Construction Site of the University of Sarajevo Library

The newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Bosnia and Herzegovina H.E. Anas Abdulrahman O. Al Wasedy and Rector of the University of Sarajevo Prof. Dr. Tarik Zaimović today visited the construction site of the University of Sarajevo Library.

During the meeting, they discussed the current level of implementation of the largest post-war investment project at the University of Sarajevo - a project that is being implemented with the financial support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Saudi Fund for Development.

The construction of the University of Sarajevo Library is a strategically important project that will breathe new life into the entire Campus and become a symbol of science and learning, and contribute to the development of the academic community and society as a whole. The modern building, which is already taking its final shape, is planned as a modern and functional space intended for students, teaching staff and researchers.

The library project also symbolizes friendly relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, confirming the importance of international support in the development of educational infrastructure. The intensification of work in the past period has resulted in visible progress in the field.

Upon completion of the work, the University of Sarajevo Library will represent a unique space intended primarily for students and researchers, which will contribute to strengthening academic capacities and improving conditions for learning, research and knowledge exchange.
