Ceremony for the 17th ERMA program Graduates Generation
The ceremony of study completion for the 17th generation of graduates from the European Regional Master Program for Democracy and Human Rights in South-East Europe (ERMA) will be held in the UNSA Ceremonial Hall (Obala Kulina bana 7/II) on Saturday, 27 October 2018, at 10:00. On this occasion, a new generation of students will also be inaugurated.
University of Sarajevo Rector, Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj will open the ceremony along with, Krassimir Nikolov, Head of the Section for Political and Economic Affairs (EU Delegation to BiH), and a representative of the Embassy of the Republic of Italy in BiH.
The opening speech will be held by H. E. Fernand de Varennes, UN Special Rapporteur on Minority Issues. Student representatives of 2017/2018 generation _ Ida Konjicija and Dino Pehlić will share their experience, whereas Ena Bavčić will address the attendees in the capacity of the ERMA Alumni Network representative. Co-directors Prof. Dr. Marco Borraccetti and Prof. Dr. Dino Abazović will present a report for 2017/2018 and announce the names of students whose theses are selected as the best in this academic year.
The ceremony will be attended by local and foreign diplomats, university professors, former and future students of the ERMA program, and their friends, family members and others.
To date, over 500 students graduated from ERMA studies, mostly from the South East Europe, European Union, and beyond. Students will receive a double degree from the University of Sarajevo and from the University of Bologna.
