Sarajevo Graphics Group sa Elektrotehničkog fakulteta UNSA dobila Creative Europe grant

Research Lab “Sarajevo Graphics Group” from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Sarajevo, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Selma Rizvić, received funding from the European Creative Europe program. The project called “Real Heroes” is one of 8 projects selected from 63 project proposals under the call “Bridging culture and audiovisual content through digital.”
“Real Heroes” is an interactive story where young people take on the role of super heroes, e.g. Leonardo da Vinci to experience what was happening during his life. The story will be developed on different platforms, each offering a glimpse into the world of that hero from a different point of view and using a different technology. The aim of Real Heroes is to work together, beyond creative and cultural boundaries, to develop a model for interactive storytelling across platforms and to invite young people to engage with heroes of science, art and society, their stories and heritage, which will inspire them to think boldly and to invest in their future.

Sarajevo Graphics Group has applied for this grant through the Association for the Digitization and Informatization of Cultural Heritage in BiH - DIGI.BA, which brings together collaborators from non-computer science laboratories such as visual, film and music artists, archaeologists, historians, writers and actors. This is the third major European project for this lab after FP7 NoE V-Must.net and H2020 iMARECULTURE. The activities of the project will support the research activities of associates and students of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering who already have the opportunity to use the latest equipment and methodologies in their work and keep up with their colleagues from Europe and the world.
