Signing of the Agreement on the implementation of joint activities to monitor the NASA Mission Mars 2020 project

Today, in the premises of the municipality of Jezero, the ceremonial signing of the Agreement on the realization of joint activities on the monitoring of the NASA Mission Mars 2020 project was held.

The signatories of the Agreement are the University of Banja Luka Rector, Prof. Dr. Radoslav Gajanin, University of Sarajevo Rector, Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj, University "Džemal Bijedić" in Mostar Rector, Prof. Dr. Elvir Zlomušica, and University of Mostar Rector, Prof. Dr. Zoran Tomić, who was represented at the signing of the Agreement by the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Sanja Bijakšić, and the mayor of Jezero, Snežana Ružičić. In addition to the universities of both entities, whose rectors are signatories to the Agreement, the Ministry of Scientific and Technological Development, Higher Education and the Information Society of the RS also provided support in further activities.

The goal of signing the Agreement is to determine the conditions and ways of cooperation and joint activities in monitoring the NASA Mission Mars 2020 project in the future process of scientific research, and joint complementary activities in the field of higher education in order to further promote the development of Jezero and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Also, the final preparation of the joint proposal of the Project for the establishment of an educational-research center in astronomy and astrophysics in the municipality of Jezero, which will be sent to NASA, has been agreed.
