International Student Competition “EESTech Challenge Sarajevo 2019”

EC

International Student Competition “EESTech Challenge Sarajevo 2019” is a unique opportunity for students to share their technological experiences, meet new people and some of the interesting projects directly related to the “Internet of Things.” This is precisely what EESTech Challenge allows its participants.

EESTech Challenge is an international student competition, which consists of an academic and practical part. Throughout the academic year, participants will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the essence and the meaning of the theme of the competition (Internet of Things - Smart Universities) through lectures of practitioners. After the lecture follows the most interesting part, and this is just a competition, within which three-party participants teams will have the opportunity to come up with a solution to the problem.

The competition consists of two rounds: local and final. Winners of the local round will have the opportunity to join the winners of other local rounds in the final round, which will be held this year in Munich.

The theme of the competition is Smart Universities. It is an emerging field that is extremely rapidly developing and that uses creatively innovative concepts that try to facilitate student learning. Under the term Smart Universities we mean:

  • smart software and hardware systems
  • smart classrooms with state-of-the-art technologies and technical platforms
  • smart pedagogy based on modern teaching and learning strategies
  • smart learning and academic analytics
  • various branches of informatics and computing.

After the previous competitions proved successful and had a significant response among students, the Association of Electrical Students, the Sarajevo Municipal Committee decided to organize the third EESTech Challenge Sarajevo 2019, which will be held on 30 March 2019.

Students of all faculties in Bosnia and Herzegovina will have the right to participate, who will have the opportunity to acquire and improve their skills, while also exchanging experiences. You can apply by 15 March 2019 through the website.

More information on the project itself and news can be found on the official website of the project and the Association, as well as on our social networks.
