Faculty of Economics celebrates 66th Anniversary
In 1952, the Faculty of Economics in Sarajevo (EFSA) was founded, one of the oldest higher education institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In the first generation, 105 fulltime and 129 part-time students were enrolled. Generation 2018/19 counts six hundred freshmen, and the Faculty currently offers education to over five thousand students.
Today the Faculty of Economics in Sarajevo celebrates its 66th Anniversary. During this period, the Faculty was built in the most distinguished higher education institution in the field of economics and management in our country and beyond. This is testament to the worldwide recognition and accreditation for the quality acquired by the Faculty in the past few years.
On this occasion, the Faculty, with the help of its business partners, provided cash awards to the best students - students from the Dean's list. This year's awards and cash prizes were awarded to 26 students for the best students of the 1st and 2nd cycle of studies.
The best students of the 1st cycle of studies are:
- First year:
Semir Sikir, Erin Kanta, Adna Lisica, Adna Omanović, Edin Mukić, Emina Vranešić, Nejra Omeragić, Bruno Bošnjak, Haris Šehić and Lejla Omeragić
- Second year:
Luna Petrinić, Sara Prguda, Belmina Bajrović, Hana Hadžibajrić and Naida Alajbegović
- Third year:
Hana Hadžić, Lejla Dedović, Anes Torlaković and Naida Selmanagić.
The best students of the second cycle of studies are:
- First year
Gregor Jurišić, Emina Krnjić, Adna Olovčić and Adi Alibajraktarević
- Second year
Elma Delalic and Evelina Dautbegovic
Award “Prof. dr. Janko Klobučar” for the best diploma paper in the field of Accounting and Business Finance was given to student Tifa Šibonjić.
Successful companies are members of our Business Council, and this year they did not miss their support for the best students. Through this special thanks go to the companies Tondach d.o.o., Centrotrans-Eurolines, Violeta, Širbegović Engineering, MS & Wood, Eco Company, Banking Agency of FBiH and the Hotel Europe groups that continuously help our Faculty.
