“City of Sarajevo Plaquette” recognition awarded to UNSA Faculty of Veterinary Medicine full professor Selma Filipović

On 28 January 2021, at the 46th City of Sarajevo Council session chaired by Dr. Igor Gavrić at the proposal of the Dogs Trust Foundation, Selma Filipović, full professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Sarajevo, was awarded the “City of Sarajevo Plaquette.”
The Dogs Trust Foundation started its activities in BiH in 2012, and one of their first programs in BiH, led by Prof. Dr. Selma Filipović, was conducted in partnership with the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Sarajevo. The fact that this program has become part of the “the University of Sarajevo Lifelong Learning Program” and the accredited program of veterinary chambers speaks of its importance.
Professor Filipović’s commitment and dedication is reflected in the selfless provision of knowledge in educating candidates (graduate veterinarians and veterinary technicians) and initiating and participating in various programs of the Dogs Trust Foundation with exceptional results both in Sarajevo Canton and throughout BiH. It is important to point out that 421 experts from BiH have been trained by the “Dogs Trust” at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
