Svečano otvorena laboratorija na Fakultetu za saobraćaj i komunikacije UNSA u sklopu projekta PELMOB

On 25 January 2024, the Faculty of Traffic and Communications of the University of Sarajevo officially opened the Laboratory for E-mobility and promotion of electric mobility in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The promotion of electric mobility is part of the project “PELMOB - Partnership for the promotion and popularization of electric mobility through the transformation and modernization of study programs of higher education institutions of the Western Balkans.”

Through a three-year cooperation program with 14 partners from the countries of the Western Balkans and the EU, the Faculty of Transport and Communications wants to improve awareness of electric mobility in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The event included the grand opening of the laboratory, inspirational lectures on the future of electric mobility, presentation of project goals and plans, and an opportunity for academic networking in the field of E-mobility. All interested parties are invited to attend and participate in the promotion of sustainable and innovative mobility in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The PELMOB project aims to modernize study programs at higher education institutions in the countries of the Western Balkans, through the introduction of courses related to electric vehicles at the basic, master's and specialist study levels. The implementation will be carried out through the introduction of new or modernization of existing study programs at all levels of studies and the formation of educational centers with the aim of improving awareness.

The project also aims to establish new laboratories that will enable practical exercises for students, as well as centers for the promotion of electromobility within higher education institutions in the countries of the Western Balkans.

In a broader sense, the PELMOB project will improve the quality of higher education in the field of electromobility and harmonize existing knowledge with new trends that are represented in the European Union. In addition, the promotion and popularization of electromobility will lead to greater social acceptability and adoption of electric vehicles in the transportation market.”
