At the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Sarajevo on Tuesday, on 16 October  2018, 11:00 hrs, the research results and publications Alternative Facts and Post-truth in BiH: Who Really Creates the Media Agenda by Prof. Dr. Lejle Turčilo And Doz. Dr. Belme Buljubašić will be presented.
This publication attempts to answer the question: who really creates a media agenda in Bosnia and Herzegovina, or how to select topics to be reported, who decides on access to these topics, and how to create and “frame” information presented to citizens as news and reports on events in BiH? Is “value” determined in the public interest offices or imposed by political and economic powers, especially in the pre-election period? Are the facts presented from different angles or is the dominant angle the one represented by elected officials? Does the information contextualize towards the public interest or is the context created according to the "home politics", which is defined by the owners of the media and the associated elite?
The publication is the result of a six-month research project, which included interviews with journalists, editors, holders of public functions, representatives of political parties, representatives of PR agencies, representatives of NGOs and analysts.
