Successes of University of Sarajevo Academy of Performing Arts Students and Teachers

Uspjesi studenata i nastavnika Akademije scenskih umjetnosti Univerziteta u Sarajevu

UNSA Academy of Performing Arts students participated in the Sarajevo Film Festival with their films this year as well. The competition program for student film includes the films MY DAD CLOWN by Sara Ristić and B4 by Alen Šimić, while these two films are in the BH category. The student program also showed the films PLEHAN by Luka Vlaho, and THE CITY THAT I HATE Gabrijel Lazić. Alen Šimić's film B4 won the award for the best BH film student program.

Also, at the 13th Leskovac International Film Festival - LIFFE, Alen Šimić won the second prize “Radomir Bajo Šaranović” for the best young director with the film B4. In addition to Šimić 's film, the competition program of the Student Film Festival in Leskovac also showed the films MY DAD CLOWN and PLEHAN.

Academy of Performing Arts students continue to successfully screen their films that were made as part of the teaching process at the Academy. Thus, the student film SNORTY directed by Alen Šimić will be screened at BHFF New York from 28 to 31 October 2020, and the film SCARS by Almir Zoletić will be screened at the Balkan Panorama Film Festival from 15 to 21.

The film FULL MONTH by senior assistant, director Nermin Hamzagić and associate professor, producer Amra Bakšić Čamo achieved significant success by entering the competition for the EUROPEAN DISCOVERY 2020 - Prix FIPRESCI award of the prestigious European Film Academy among the six most significant debut films in the previous year!
