EU Ambassador Wigemark Launched e4u Project for BH Students

EU for You – E4U

29 November 2017 - The European Union Special Representative Office in Bosnia and Herzegovina (EUSR) launched a project for young people with the symbolic name 'EU for You - E4U', which engages students from the country in promoting issues of relevance to the EU integration process.
At the UNSA Faculty of Economics the first Info Days were held yesterday within this project under the slogan “Let's Light up the Light for Youth of Bosnia and Herzegovina” attended by approx. 150 undergraduate students from the Faculties of Economics, Faculty of Political Science in Sarajevo and the Faculty of Agriculture from eastern Sarajevo.
On this occasion, the EU Ambassador to BiH Lars-Gunnar Wigemark and the French Ambassador, Guillaume Rousson, met with the students.
"I am glad for having the opportunity to talk to you. I know it's not easy to be a young person today. We - your parents, teachers and society in general – demand a lot from you. We ask you to be well educated, open and curious, ambitious, married and having children, independent, and at the same time to accept our attitudes and views. But you know best what works for you. That is why we hope to provide you with unique channels of communication so that the whole country will learn that you have the power to speak and look for solutions to many of the challenges you face" said Ambassador Wigemark.
French Ambassador Guillaume Rousson thanked for the opportunity to talk with students and shared the experiences of his country, which is one of the founders of the EU.
For the second consecutive year, the European Union is implementing the 'E4U' project for students from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The project will last until spring 2018, when the best student campaign will be announced, and the winning team will win a study trip to Bruxelles.
