World Food Day Lecture

Predavanje povodom Svjetskog dana hrane

The UNSA Center for Interdisciplinary Studies marked the World Food on Tuesday, 16 October 2018 by organizing a lecture on application of modern and sophisticated methods of production, processing and distribution of food processes optimizing.

Alberto Tonda (INRA France) held the presentation “Machine Learning in the Food Sector: Challenges and Perspectives.” The presentation is part of a COST action (CA15118) known under the FoodMC acronym – “Mathematical and Computer Science Methods for Food Science and Industry”. Project’s aim is to support to the food sector development through the application of modeling and optimization models used in mathematics and IT sector.
This project gathers over twenty universities from Europe and enables experts and researchers from various fields to exchange ideas, knowledge and find some new solutions. Prof. Dr. Aleksandra Nikolić, Vice Rector and Doc. Dr. Dušanka Bošković are in the UNSA interdisciplinary team, which is extraordinary active in this project’s implementation.
