UNSA Faculty of Economics of the University of Sarajevo organized a Transnational Seminar - Culture and Heritage for Creative Tomorrow

A transnational seminar Culture and Heritage for Creative Tomorrow was held on 8 and 9 October 2020. It was organized by the Faculty of Economics, University of Sarajevo. The online seminar is one of the activities within the project CREATURES - Promoting SeminarCreative Toursim through new Experiential Sustainable routes, funded by the transnational cooperation program INTERREG V-B ADRION of the European Regional Development Fund and IPA funds, in the implementation of which the Faculty of Economics participates as a partner.
 
The aim of the transnational seminar was to provide a platform for knowledge sharing and discussion on topics relevant to cultural heritage and sustainable tourism. Through educational lectures and practical workshops, the importance of a sustainable and competitive tourism sector was promoted through the empowerment of cultural and creative industries in an innovative way. Fifteen lecturers participated in holding master sessions, thematic discussions, virtual study visits and workshops during the dynamic and meaningful two-day program of the Seminar. The seminar gathered more than fifty participants from six countries of the Adriatic-Ionian region.
 
About CREATURES:
The implementation of the CREATURES project started on 1 March 2020. The total duration of the project is thirty months. The project aims to contribute to the promotion and enhancement of the natural and cultural heritage of the Adriatic-Ionian region in sustainable and innovative ways such as the development of mobile applications and multimedia installations for tourists in the region. Cultural and creative industries are key bearers of the project idea of developing new forms of experiential tourism through the creation of #CreaTourES routes.
The project consortium consists of a total of eight partners from six countries: Metropolitan City of Bologna, Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, Urban Planning Institute of the Republic of Slovenia, Patras Science Park SA, Athens University of Economics and Business Research Center, Regional Development Agency Dubrovnik-Neretva County - Dunea, The Regional Directorate of National Culture, Vlorë and the Faculty of Economics, University of Sarajevo.
