“Property Damage in Roman Classical Law: the Basis of the Damages Concept in Modern Law” Book Promotion

Promovirana knjiga „Imovinska šteta u rimskom klasičnom pravu: osnove koncepta štete u savremenom pravu“

On Tuesday, December 12, 2017, the promotion of a book published by University Press “Property Damage in Roman Classical Law: the Basis of the Damages Concept in Modern Law” by Samir Aličić, published by University Press, was held at the University of Sarajevo Faculty of Law. 
The book is a scientific monograph, the synthesis of the long-standing work of Dr. Samir Aličić. It is intended for Roman scholars, civilians, historians, linguists, but also for all other readers who, from their own initiative, are interested in Roman legacy.
The promoters pointed to the remarkable scientific contribution of the monograph and specifically elaborated the diversity of linguistic, legal and historical methods author used to properly address this complex subject. They pointed out, among other things, the timeless foundations that Roman law set for the development of the rights we know today. They also talked about the cultural contributions of this monograph.
