Erasmus+ Project "Next Balkans Destination: Agrotourism Development" Info Day

Within the Erasmus+ program on 18 July 2018 the project objectives, the current and future activities within the LANDs project “Next destination Balkans: Agricultural landscapes development” were presented at the University of Sarajevo Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences. The presentation was attended by University of Sarajevo representatives, the Sarajevo Regional Development Agency SERDA, the Faculty of Agriculture, the Erasmus + program and the media.

The University of Sarajevo is a partner in the Erasmus + project “Next destination Balkans: Agricultural Landscapes Development” (LANDS) coordinated by the College of Veterinary Studies Prokuplje from Serbia. In the project also participate the University of Banja Luka, “Džemal Bijedić” in Mostar, the Regional Development Agency for Herzegovina REDAH, the Sarajevo Regional Development Agency SERDA, the Visoka Poslovno-tehnička škola stručnih studija Užice (Serbia), Visoka turistička škola strukovnih studija u Beogradu Serbia), Regional Development Agency Nis (Serbia), Regional Development Agency Zlatibor (Serbia), Westbalkan Institute (Serbia), Primorska University (Slovenia), Slovak Agricultural University in Nitra (Slovakia), Transylvania University in Brasov (Romania) and Agricultural University in Athens (Greece).
The goal of the project is to build capacities in higher education so that it has an active role in the development of a society that aims to improve the quality of life in rural areas through the diversification of rural economy, and through the creation and accreditation of a number of professional courses in the field of agro-tourism, strengthening the teaching and pedagogical skills of academic staff they could train educators in the field of agro-tourism and rural economy through the use of information and communication technologies and improving the competences and competences (including information and communication technologies) of the educators in the field of agro-tourism.
