In cooperation with Yildirim Bayazit University in Ankara the University of Sarajevo organizes the Conference “Alija Izetbegović and his understanding of Law and State” to mark the fifteenth anniversary of passing away of the first B-H Presidency President, Alija Izetbegović.

The Conference takes place at the University of Sarajevo (Ceremonial Hall, Friday 19 October 2018).

The Conference aims to present form many angles Alija Izetbegović’s understanding of law and state in his works and actions he took as a statesman. The invited lecturer Prof. Dr. Zühtü Arslan, President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Turkey, intends to present the importance of Alija Izetbegovic's legal thought and its vision outside the Bosnian borders.

The program is planned to present papers by eminent academic community members: namely: Academician Mirko Pejanović, Prof. Dr. Selmo Cikotić and Doz. Dr. Admir Mulaosmanović. At the conference, colleagues from the Faculty of Law Yildirim Bayazit University from Ankara will also deliver their presentations: Prof. Dr. Muharrem Kılıç, Dr. Taylan Barin, whereas the participants will also be addressed by Prof. dr. M. Fatih Uşan, Yildirm Bayazit University in Ankara Vice-Rector.
