UNIVERSITY OF BALEARIAN ISLANDS PROFESSORS FROM SPAIN GIVE FREE TOURISM LECTURE

The Business Academy, University of Sarajevo Faculty of Economics and the Sarajevo Tourist Board organize a two-day lecture on tourism for students and workers in tourism from the Sarajevo Canton. The lecture will be delivered by three professors from the University of Balearic Islands from Spain: Bartolome Deya Tortella, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism, Francisco Sastre Alberti, Professor and Vicente Ramos Mir, at the Faculty of Economics.

The topics of the lecture will include several areas of tourism: the situation and trends in tourism in the Balearic Islands, the impacts of tourism - the water case, the general framework of tourism competitiveness, the economic impacts on tourism, and the creation of value through experiential tourism.

The University of the Balearic Islands is one of the top five Spanish universities in the field of innovation and technological development, and the quality of research. In the world, it is among the top 10 researchers on tourism and among the top eight in quality and innovation in teaching.

Lectures will be held on 17 and 18 June 2019, from 10:00 to 14:00, in the E-net Center Hall, Faculty of Economics (III floor), according to the schedule:

Monday, 17 June:

•    11: 10-11:20 Break
•    11: 30-12:40 Dr Deya: Impacts of tourism. The case of water
•    12: 40-12:50 Break
•    12: 50-14: Dr. Ramos: General Framework of Tourism Competitiveness

Tuesday, 18 June:
•    10:00-11:10 Dr. Ramos: Value Creation through Experiential Tourism
•    11:10-11:20 Break
•    11:30-12:40 Dr Sastre: Economic Impacts of Tourism
•    12: 40-12:50 Break

Lectures are free of charge and open to the public.
