University of Sarajevo secured access to Web of Science, Scopus, Science Direct, EBSCO, CEEOL and HeinOnline Scientific Databases

In cooperation and with the support of the Ministry of Education Science and Youth of the Sarajevo Canton, the University of Sarajevo secured access to citation and aggregate databases enabling our teachers, researchers, students and associates to access the latest ongoing production of scientific journals and books (monographs), as well as bibliographic-citation databases that enable the new research monitoring (current alert services). Selective information dissemination services are also available where all teachers, associates and students can have their own research profile and receive automated notifications on their field of interest on a daily or weekly basis. Full-text aggregates provide access to complete editions of magazines and books.

Access to the following databases has been provided:

Web of Science: bibliographic and citation database covering in its three indexes: Social Sciences Citation Index, Science Citation Index and Arts and Humanities Citation Index covers more than 18,500 peer-reviewed journals, while access to the following WoS Core Collection citation indexes:

  • Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-EXPANDED) --1996-present
  • Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI) --1994-present
  • Arts & Humanities Citation Index (A & HCI) --1994-present
  • Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) --2015-present

SCOPUS: bibliographic and citation database for research peer-reviewed journal publications. Scopus offers access to over 23,000 magazine titles from over 5,000 publishers, over 3,800 open access magazines, and over 33 million records.

Science Direct: one of the leading multidisciplinary databases that enables the search of complete texts and bibliographic information in the fields of natural, technical and medical sciences. ScienceDirect offers over 15 million publications in over 3,800 journals and serials, and over 37,000 books.

EBSCO: An aggregate platform of research databases, scientific journals, magazines and electronic books. The University of Sarajevo's organizational units have access to the following EBSCOhost databases and eBooks:

CEEOL Central and Eastern European Online Library: a repository offering specialized and comprehensive collections of full-text works in the social sciences and humanities, as well as the arts, from Central and Eastern Europe. There are over 2,200 titles in the social sciences and humanities from 34 countries, and over 600,000 papers published in over 30 languages.

HeinOnline: a full-text database of law and law-related sciences. It contains more than 250,000 documents from historical to official publications, and more than 2,600 serials in the field of law are a significant part of the content.
