University of Innsbruck Study group in the National and University Library of BiH

During the organized Belgrade/Sarajevo 2019 Seminar, a study group of PhD students from Austrian Studies, University of Innsbruck visited Sarajevo, and for their lectures and meetings they selected the Austrian Library at the National and University Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
First of all, the Faculty of Austrian Studies intends to provide an interdisciplinary platform for collaboration, as a basis for joint teaching and research. The key criteria for cooperation are the space here, its history and cultural phenomena. In this connection, the Austrian name "Austrian" is understood as a cultural space that various societies produced during the Roman Empire, through the Habsburg Monarchy, to t Second Republic. Precisely such concept of the study program has resulted in the Belgrade/Sarajevo 2019 seminar, focusing on different approaches to Austrian history, language, history, architecture, etc.
At the Austrian Library guests were received by presenter, Mr. Sc. Adelaida Grabovica, among others, with her guests spoke H. E. Dr. Ulrike Hartmann, Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Prof. Dr. Vahidin Preljević, German Studies Department, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Sarajevo.
The attendees were greeted and talked with Dr. Ismet Ovčina, National and University Library of BiH Director, who emphasized the importance of successful cooperation in the field of culture and education between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Austria, thus intensifying the dialogue and activity of civil society between the two countries. Cooperation between the Competent Ministry of Austria and the National and University Library of BiH has been ongoing since 2006. During that time, a number of significant projects, literary meetings and various events was produced and successfully implemented.
