Training for Bosnian language teachers in Donji Vakuf

Institut za jezik: Održan seminar za nastavnike bosanskog jezika u Donjem Vakufu

In the Donji Vakuf Mixed Secondary School on January 23, 2020, as part of a project related to the professional development of teachers in elementary and secondary education, which was done by the Bosnian Language Active MSŠ Donji Vakuf, professional training for Bosnian teachers and Bosnian language teachers from the area of Central Bosnia Canton was held. Teachers, professors and lecturers present, on behalf of the host, were first addressed by Asim Orahovčić, Director of MSŠ Donji Vakuf, who also provided wholehearted assistance in the implementation of this project. The Mayor of Municipality Donji Vakuf Huso Sušić also welcomed the present guests and the participants of the training.
The lecturers at the training were PhD Mirela Omerović, professor at the Faculty of Education, University of Sarajevo, with the topic „Language Culture and Functional Stylistic Stratification“, MSc. Zenaida Karavdić, Research assistant at the Institute of Languages, University of Sarajevo, with the topic “Contemporary Bosnian Language Researches”, PhD Jasmin Hodžić, Research Associate at the Language Institute of the University of Sarajevo, with the topic “Bosnian Lexicographic Practice – Old and New Dictionaries of the Bosnian Language”, and PhD Alen Kalajdžija, Senior Research Associate and Director of the Language Institute of the University of Sarajevo, with the topic “Socio-political position of the Bosnian language in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the South Slavic language community”.
