Inclusion of the University of Sarajevo in the EU4Tech Project

University of Sarajevo representatives had a meeting on Wednesday, 8 November 2017 with a representative of the consortium of the EU4Tech project - Capacity Building for Technology Transfer for the Western Balkans. The purpose of the meeting was the inclusion of University of Sarajevo’s organizational units in the project activities.

The project activities were presented by Dr. Sci. Lisa Cowey, chief project technology transfer expert. The University of Sarajevo was represented by Prof. Dr. Aleksandra Nikolić, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, and vice-deans for scientific research and international cooperation and associates from the Faculties of Economics, Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Agriculture, Food Sciences and Veterinary Medicine.

The team represented by Ernst & Young Advisory Services (BE), Inno TSD (FR), T3I Ltd (UK) and Mito Technology (IT) is in charge of the implementation of this three-year project that began in April 2017. The aim of the project is to support the technologies and innovations transfer in Western Balkan countries through the adoption of a comprehensive capacity building strategy that will include the actions of all actors in the process of transferring technologies and innovations from academic institutions through investors to science parks and spin-out companies.

At the meeting, readiness of the University of Sarajevo to join the realization of the EU4Tech project expressed, and agreements reached on the next steps and obligations that the University of Sarajevo will take over.
